Friday, April 8

Eastern European Printmakers Today at the Brickbottom Artists Gallery

12 – 5 p.m.

Second Annual Velir MS Benefit Concert at the George Dilboy VFW Hall

8 p.m. – 12 a.m.

This Friday marks the second annual Velir Multiple Sclerosis Benefit Concert.  The lineup consists of Hex Map, making the noise and Electric Mummy.  There is no cover, but a $10 donation for Team Rose in the Walk MS is strongly encouraged.  21+.

Saturday, April 9

“BOOM!” at The Washington Street Art Center

12 – 4 p.m.

The Washington Street Art Center’s new exhibition,“BOOM”, invites you to come see things that go BOOM!,’ and asks, “What does “boom” mean to you?”

Center for Arabic Culture Open House at the Center for Arts at the Armory

2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Join the Center for Arabic Culture for an afternoon of cultural awareness and fun for the whole family.  The CAC will be hosting a day of musical and dance performances, children’s games, face painting, henna, refreshments and more.  Tickets start at $5 for students with a valid ID; $10 for adults; $25 for families.

 

Sunday, April 10

Spring Fever Market at the Center for Arts at the Armory

10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The Armory is saving us from our post-Winter Farmers Market grief by giving us the Spring Fever Market.  The SFM will feature food vendors, crafts people, musicians, and activities for children.  This week’s vendor’s will include several farms (Enterprise, NorthStar, and Bughill), Burnin’ Love Sauces, Great Cape Bakery, and Taza Chocolates, to name a few.

Pre-Wine Riot Tasting at Downtown Wine & Spirits

2 – 5 p.m.

Wine publication and event planning cool kids The Second Glass will be hosting a complimentary wine tasting at Downtown Wine & Spirits this Sunday.  The tasting will feature 4 – 6 wines, temporary tattoos and an opportunity to score specially priced Wine Riot tickets.
