The clock is ticking for the indoor Farmers Market at the Armory.  Come get the likes of watermelon radishes, cheddar bread, and raspberry apple sauce before it’s too late — the last market takes place March 26.  The WFM accepts cash, credit and debit cards.

Maple Boil Down Festival at the Somerville Community Growing Center

10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Groundwork Somerville is hosting the Maple Syrup Boil Down Festival at the Somerville Community Growing Center this Saturday.  Come celebrate the end of the 2011 syrup season while watching sap from local trees be boiled down into syrup.  There will be syrup tasting, family friendly activities, and T shirts to purchase to benefit that Maple Syrup Project.  Admission is free.

Public Skating Hours at the Veterans Memorial Rink

5 – 7:50 p.m.

Metropolis at the Somerville Theatre

8 p.m.

Fritz Lang’s futuristic vision of a dystopian society comes to life in his 1927 masterpiece, Metropolis.  The Somerville Theatre is screening the extremely long (the original cut was 153 minutes) silent film, accompanied by the musical stylings (and score) of the Alloy Orchestra.  This is a great opportunity to enjoy a screen classic in the manner in which it was intended to be viewed; in a beautiful theatre with live music.  Tickets are expected to sell out; they’re available online and at the box office in advance.

Sunday, March 6

Judaica Craft Show at Havurat Shalom

12 – 6 p.m.

Havurat Shalom’s Saturday craft fair will have refreshments and feature a raffle.  Admission is free.
