Friday, Feb. 25

Public Skating Hours at The Veterans Memorial Rink

10 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. and 6 – 8:50 p.m.

Free Skate extended hours!

It’s A Strange World at the Brickbottom Artists Association

12 – 5 p.m.

Beer Tasting at Ball Square Fine Wines & Liquors

5 – 7 p.m.

Ball Square Fine Wines & Liquors is hosting a complimentary beer tasting.  21+, natch.

Closing reception for Feathers & Scales at The Washington Street Art Center

6 – 9 p.m.

Come celebrate the closing of Megan Creamer’s cut art installation at the WSAC.  This weekend marks the end of two local exhibitions; don’t miss your last chance to enjoy them.

Summer Villains at Bull McCabe’s

10 p.m.

Come check out a local band with a local name at a local bar.  Summer Villains are known for their catchy sound and cheeky lyrics; have a beer and ponder the wisdom of songs like “You are Right, but F**k You.”

Saturday, Feb. 26

Winter Farmers Market at the Center for Arts at the Armory

10 am – 2 p.m.

The Armory continues to be the place to go Saturday morning to get your local, organic, and delicious produce, bread, chocolate, fish, chicken pot pie…the list goes on.

It’s a Strange World at the Brickbottom Artists Association

12 – 5 p.m.

Saturday marks the last day of the mult-artist, multimedia exhibition celebrating diverse, eclectic points of view on the world, as seen (or imagined) by the contributing artists.

Sunday, Feb. 27

Lady Lamb the Beekeeper at Johnny D’s

10 – 11 p.m.

Lady Lamb the Beekeeper writes  and performs incredibly earnest, whimsical songs dealing with everything from true love to being eaten by wolves.  She also happens to be the first artist to perform in Johnny D’s new OurStage in the Round series.  This show will definitely be worth skipping the Oscars.
