by Tom Nash on February 14, 2011

Centro Presente turned the delivery of postcards decrying Massachusetts’ possible participation in the federal Secure Communities program into an impromptu protest Monday after Gov. Deval Patrick would not receive them in person.

After around two dozen group members and supporters spent more than three hours waiting outside the governor’s office, Patrick agreed to sit down with the organizers. He said later there would be public hearings on the issue across the state .

Story and video up soon.
