Tour de Somerville

10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

This Saturday will mark the 18th annual Tour de Somerville bicycle ride hosted by the Somerville Bicycle Committee.  The theme of this year’s ride is “Paths, Present and Future: A Mystic River Ramble”, and the route, which will pass by both the Alewife Brook and the Mystic River, reflects this theme.  Participants are asked to gather at 10 a.m. at the Seven Hills Park behind the Holland Street entrance to the Davis Square MBTA stop.  Somerville PD will be escorting the ride; Red Bones will be providing refreshments at a rest stop.  The anticipated departure time is 10:15 a.m., and the ride is expected to last approximately two and half hours.  The current route is about ten miles long. Rain date: Sunday, October 17.
